Get Ready For Another Exciting Swim Team Season At Twin Oaks!

Summer swimming is just around the corner, so get ready! We are in Division 5 this year, and we should have a successful season. We will start our practices on Saturday, June 14 th at 9:30. There will be a parent meeting at 11:00, followed by a suit sizing. Swimmers and divers can also obtain a schedule by going to the Westchester Swim Conference website: http://nwsc.usswim.net

There will be an A-Team as well as a B-Team this season. Please review the descriptions below to see where your child would experience the most success .

A-Team Members

• Any swimmer who competed in last summer's dual meet schedule

• Any diver who competed in last summer's dual meet schedule.

• Swimmers who are 8 years old and under: must be able to swim at least two competitive strokes, continuously, using good form, for twenty-five yards.

• Swimmers who are 9 through 12: years old must be able to swim at least two competitive strokes, continuously, using proper form, for at least fifty yards.

• Swimmers who are 13 years old and older: must be able to swim at least two competitive strokes, continuously, using proper form, for 100 yards.

B-Team Members

• This is not meant for non-swimmers, or for children who are fearful of the water. Swim assessments will occur during the first week of practice.

• Swimmers must be able to swim twenty-five yards without stopping.

• Swimming techniques will be practiced at every practice.

A-team Practice Schedule

Swimming- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 5:30-7:00, Saturday 10:00-11:30

Diving- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:30-7:45 

B-team Practice Schedule

Swimming- Monday, Wednesday, Friday- 5:00-6:00, Saturday 9:00 – 10:00

Diving- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:00-6:30

2008 Swim Team Schedule (A-Team)

Weekdays- 5:00pm warmup , 5:30 start

Saturdays 9:00am warmup, 9:30 start

Saturday, June 14th - Practice schedule starts for swimming only.

Saturday, June 14th - SUIT SIZING at 11:00, suits can only be purchased that day. If you are not able to attend the parent meeting, please see Clare Carr, at Twin Oaks, Saturday, June 7 th, to get your child’s suit.

Please watch the bulletin board for updates and changes.  Please let the coaches know if your child will not be able to attend a meet as soon as you know of a conflict.
